Pipers Corner School, Buckinghamshire

School Objective: Pipers Corner School required a practical shelter solution that would provide a large covered area, enabling children to continue playing outdoors in all weather conditions. While functionality was key, the school also wanted to create a fun and engaging environment that reflected the energy and creativity of its pupils. To achieve this, the shelter needed to be bright and multi-coloured, transforming the space into a happy, vibrant place where children could enjoy playtime whatever the weather.

NBB Outdoors’ Solution: NBB Outdoors designed and installed a bespoke shelter measuring L: 9,170mm x D: 5,800mm x H: 2,470mm to deliver the large covered area the school required. The structure included 600mm beam overhangs to both the front and rear, maximising coverage and ensuring effective protection from the elements. To bring the school’s vision of a bright, creative play space to life, the shelter was fitted with a striking rainbow roof, incorporating Cherry Red, Amber, Sunburst Yellow, Sea Grass Green, Pacific Blue, Fuchsia Pink and Violet polycarbonate panels. Guttering was installed on both sides with drainage to ground level only, completing a durable, colourful solution that combines practicality with fun.

The spacious shelter provides a large covered area for year-round play, while its vibrant rainbow roof creates a fun and uplifting environment for pupils.
