Victoria Education Centre, Poole

Victoria Education Centre is a non-maintained, Ofsted Outstanding special school in Poole, Dorset offering specialised, high quality education, therapy and care for young people aged 3-19. Their vision is ‘a centre where successful learning and high levels or achievement prepare children and young adults for fulfilling future lives.’

NBB School Shelters were contacted by Victoria Education Centre regarding their “Canopy Appeal”, the appeal was set up to raise funds for an 80m covered walkway between two buildings of the school which desperately required shelter, the students were open to the elements daily every time they used the walkway. A  Winterbourne Freestanding Walkway was chosen as the most suitable option, and they opted for colour Green RAL6026 to fit in with the existing area. The work was completed over the summer break and ready in time for when the pupils returned, and the school could not be happier with the finished shelter.

“Thanks to some generous donations and the hard work of staff, volunteers and school friends in raising funds, we now have a covered walkway running from our main school buildings to Carmel House. The work was completed over the summer break and will enable our students to traverse the site in bad weather without getting wet. We couldn’t have done it without you, thank you”.
