We are often asked for information about Smoking Shelter Regulations, the rules have changed since the smoking ban came into effect in 2006 so it may be worth catching up before making a purchase. Remember all of the shelters on this site comply with the requirements of the Smoke-free (Premises and Enforcement) Regulations 2006 and any amendments to date.

The 50% rule is probably the main thing to consider, this rule states that at least 50% of the shelter must be open. The diagram on the left shows an example of a shelter that complies.
Remember, if a shelter is positioned with one of its open sides close to a wall it may not comply with the 50% rule.
Licensed premises should also consult their licence before permitting drinking in their shelters as drinking is only permitted if the premises/club licence permits drinking outside on the licensed premises
Our sales team deal with these issues day in day out and will be happy to answer your questions.
